“The UN should of the people of rwanda because if they are peace keepers then they should keep the peace in rwanda because saying they shouldnt join a war because to much problems happen then thats bassically saying if someone is getting beat up the police should seat back and watch as the people slowly die. In the civil even the genral of the UN (Ban’k Moon )had regret in his heart for not helping the people of rwanda he had stated that ” we could of done more we should of done more” he also stated “soilders from rwanda were withdrawn whwn they was needed most “and even people at that time felt sorry for them even if the others said stay out of this it will cause trouble but if they had joined in th UN could of supported the army and ended the horror faster then it did. The rwanda president Paul Kagame and Mr Ban had lit it torch that lasts 100 days the length of the genocide wich could have been shortern only if the UN had acted against the hutu and saved the tutsis from the horror that they had to live intil there death had come for them.

THE ESSAY OF HOTEL RWANDA

The director uses cinematographic to create tension by manipulating things such as the music, camera angles and shots and settings there is more things but for now I will keep it at this in my essay I will explain the effects such as sound , settings and many others.

MUSIC

The director uses music in Paul’s  epiphany scene to control the viewer’s emotion while the haunting African music play in the background manipulating how the people see the scene. Also as he gets up and sees all the bodies and the music gradually gets louder showing the viewer’s how the dark the scene is and how Paul is feeling. The director has also added special effects like a machete scraping the floor adding to the tense feeling in the scene.

CAMERA SHOTS/ANGELS AND FOCUS

The director uses his team’s skill to show the power of the camera angles and how they show the tension of what has been happening in the scene especially the part where Paul falls out of the car and lands on a little girls dead body giving the viewer’s a split second to feel as if Paul has been taken or fell in the river. The angle that it is kept at (level angle) gave us a curious mind of what has happened to Paul. The director uses the affect of camera shots to show the position of the characters in my opinion in a certain part of the scene Paul has a over shoulder shot showing the dead bodies I think this gives the viewers an idea of the horror that Paul has to witness , I think this gives one the most powerful effect on the viewers feelings . Focus used in this scene is really powerful because it shows that Paul has finally realised that there is no hope and given in to the true horror given him the sense of no hope witch then makes him scared. The director uses Paul’s point of view to gives us a front row seat at the horror of the dead bodies I think that this makes the scene very powerful to the viewers plus it shows us the true power of the Hutu’s rage for Tutsis

SPECIAL EFFECTS AND SETTINGS

The director uses special effects to add to the tension for example he has the mist witch was first used to keep us curious of what was in the mist then came the horror which i have already talked about. The settings used also add to tension giving us this feeling as it something is there or some sort of horror was just around the corner. I think the settings play a big roll in the tension being built up over time because without a good setting there would be nothing to hide it will just loose the tension plus i think its always better to have a good setting for even the viewers to admire. The mist that had been used as settings for the scene had a change throughout out the scene for example it had started to fade away giving us the viewers and Paul to see the dead bodies everywhere.
